The Lake Barkley Full and Half Triathlons are challenging events designed to give everyone the opportunity to compete in a 2.4 Mile Swim/112 Mile Bike/26.2 Mile Run or a 1.2 Mile Swim/56 Mile Bike/13.1 Mile Run without having to travel for days or having to mortgage the house.

There will be no cut off time, so if you have always dreamed of competing in an event of this type, but were worried about making it in a certain time this is your race.

The entry fee includes a prerace buffet at the Lake Barkley Resort, T-shirt, Finishing Medal, Great food on the course and after the race, wonderful volunteers, and cool prizes.  Athletes in the full will receive a race warm up suit.

Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers.  First place male and female will also receive a custom charm. Age group awards will be given 3 deep in age groups starting at 19 and under and then in 5 year spans.  Awards will also be presented to relays, clydesdale, athena, and physically challenged division winners.

Lodging:  Rooms, cabins, and cottages are reserved under Headfirst Performance call Lake Barkley to reserve yours before they are all gone 800-325-1708.

Aid Stations:  On the bike course There will be no further than 15 miles between aid stations.  Bottle hand ups will be available for water and sports drink.  We will have hammer gel, electrolyte capsules, and snacks at these stations also.  Special needs bags can be sent to both bike turn arounds.  Bags should be prepared to be dropped off on Friday night.

On the run the longest distance between aid will be 2 miles.  In addition to the items for the bike aid stations we will have much more food to select from.  Special needs bags can be sent to the run turn around that you can access each loop.

Medical:  There will be a medical tent at the transition area.  This tent will be staffed by Doctors, Physicians Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and nurses.  Ambulances will be on standby to respond to any issues that may arise on the course.
