FREE Kids Triathlon Clinic
Watch for more information regarding a FREE kids' triathlon clinic, Sponsored by Swim Bike Run of Kentucky! This year's free clinic is tentatively set for Saturday, August 17th at 10 AM at Falling Springs Center.
This clinic is geared for first timers and especially for kids interested in participating in the 8th annual Falling Springs Kids' Triathlon on August 31 in Versailles.
The clinic will go over the courses for the races and the basic needs of the kids. Participants should bring everything they would need for a triathlon: swimwear, goggles, cap, bike, towel, helmet, sunglasses, and running shoes. After an initial introduction and a discussion of the courses, the kids will get see the pool and where they will exit to return to the transition area (the pool is currently being resurfaced, so unfortunately they will not be able to practice exiting the pool). They will then be able to move through the transition area, both to the bike and then to the run. They won't be riding or running anywhere, but they will get a feel for where to go and what to do after each race segment.
